So why do weeds have such a bad reputation?

Ever traveled and noticed an unkept property? Or watch your dad complain about the crab grass? What if I told you, that weeds aren’t as terrible as we’ve been conditioned to think?

Mainstream brands have benefited from teaching us to kill weeds. But, I’ve joined my long-time friend and mentor, Katrina Blair, to teach people that it’s best to love weeds.

“A weed is but an unloved flower.” ― Ella Wheeler Wilcox

When we met up in the wild mountains of Colorado this past summer, we even learned how to harvest wild acorns for flour for bread, pancakes, pastries, cookies and even pasta. Gosh, imagine all those acorns you’ve walked on while out with your dog or kids… That’s food

When you know how to survive and even thrive on weeds, you can fully appreciate that:

All true wealth comes from the ground

Our group harvested wild, edible, organic, weeds for food and beauty products. Many weeds have the ability to support your immune system and feed you and your family. There’s even a special kind of weed that can reverse gray hair!

Here are my top weeds:

  1. Seaweed for gray hair reversal
  2. Thistles for liver function
  3. Dandelion for detoxing the body
  4. Wild Lettuce for pain relief

It only takes 13 wild weeds to obtain food security just about anywhere on the planet .There are so many more, but definitely look into weeds’ benefits before throwing them out.
